This recipe is for French onion burgers. You can easily make several of these and put them in the fridge to save for later.
Ingredients for the Burgers
* Ground beef, 1 pound
* Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon
* Onion Soup Mix, 1 tablespoon
* Salt, pepper and other spices
Ingredients for the Topping
* Butter, 2 tablespoons
* Mushrooms, 1/2 pound, sliced
* Beef bouillon granules, 1 teaspoon
* Dry white wine, 2 tablespoons
* Salt, pepper and other spices
* Swiss cheese, sliced
* French Onion Dip, 3 tablespoons
Fry the mushrooms in butter until they are nice and soft.
Add the wine and bouillon and cook it over high heat for a short while.
Season with salt and pepper. You can also add other spices if you want.
Taste to see there is the right amount of spices.
Mix the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, onion soup mix, salt and pepper all together untill you create some nice keto burger patties.
Shape the mix to 3 beef patties. Fry the burgers and once the burgers are done add a piece of cheese on top. Poor the mushroom mix over the burger patties. Add a small piece of French onion dip on top.
There you have it, perfect french onion burgers ready to enjoy just like they are or together with some salad.

Hej Johan,
Thanks for the article on alcohol and ketosis. Ive read everything I can find on the subject because.. i love wine and strong liquor. I see lots of anecdotal information such as your but no one who has done a truly scientific study. I test blood keytones and can add my anecdote that…. while technically one can stay in ketosis, blood keytones drop to a minimum (in my experience). After 24 hours or so, the rise back up again. The keytones produced by the alcohol are acetone and of course do go up. But since acetone is also the by product of burned (exhaust gas) of Bohb… Im not sure there is any benefit. So,… my added opinion is that while one can drink alcohol, especially following your guideline of choices, if that is done daily…. one should NOT expect to get much if any benefit from a keto life style.
As much as we love it… moderation is critical with alcohol.
Again, I found your article useful and very aligned with the best understanding (most prolific) on this subject. Thanks for posting it.
hej do!
